Kharkov (processed guitar) Tim Lindenmayer (Guzheng) Brothersister BSR008

Guzheng is Kharkov’s second release on Brother Sister Records. The CDR consists of a live thirty minute improvised piece made up of processed, looped guitar played by Kharkov and the distinct sound of a traditional Chinese harp, the Guzheng, played by Tim Lindenmayer. The recording is a unique moment documented by the pair, the final product in a series of improvisations. The piece captures a delicate, meandering journey and offers a live and intimate sound which is a break away from Kharkov’s earlier electronic based work.
